TUACT has had a small number of members as supporters since we were incorporated in 1981.  We operated as a volnteer organisation committed to improving the rental experience for all renters in the ACT.  Once we were funded in 1994 and operated as a community legal centre the organsation had paid staff and resouces to do that advocacy and community dvelopment work in conjunction with the legal service.

Since the ACT Government decided renters no longer needed a specialised service for ACT renters and gave funds to a Legal Aid for a legal advice line only, we have relied once again on our members to keep our webisite  going and underake limited advocacy work.

We are no longer in a position to take on new members and soon will be winding up the organisation.
